Jump the Shark is a 4 piece band playing Jump & Swing classics who have been growing with popularity amongst R&R Dance enthusiasts, Blues Connoisseurs and Punters.
Blues? Well a sub-genre you could say... Some history:- Jump blues is an up-tempo style of blues, jazz, and boogie woogie usually played by small groups and featuring horn instruments. It was popular in the 1940s and was a precursor of rhythm and blues and rock and roll. Appreciation of jump blues was renewed in the 1990s as part of the swing revival.
Comprising of Mick Gibbs on Guitar & Vocals, Brian Strafford on Saxophone, Ian Bertram on Bass & David 'Richo' Richardson on Drums, this is a band that will get you moving and having a great time.
